Kevin is a former Jr. A goaltender for the Kamloops Chiefs and Langley Lords of the British Columbia Junior Hockey League and was the first American born goaltender to play Jr. A in Kamloops, B.C.
He was fortunate to study the position under the legendary Charlie Hodge of Montreal Canadians and Vancouver Canucks fame. Kevin is also a former goaltending coach for the Seattle Thunderbirds where both goalies he instructed later signed NHL contracts. He has coached goalies who have accepted Division I scholarships to St. Lawrence University, Ferris State University and Lake Superior State University. Two of his former goaltending students have gone on to become goaltending coaches in the Western Hockey League.
He was the Assistant Coach for the 2003 Select 17 Pacific District team participating in the USA Hockey National Festival in Minnesota and was the USA Pacific District Goaltending Evaluator from 1995-1997 and from 2001-2004. Kevin has been an advance scout for the Tri-City Americans, Vancouver Giants and currently the Seattle Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League. Kevin also serves as the director of the Seattle Thunderbirds/HES Community Outreach Program. He is currently the Director of Hockey Operations for the Sno-King Amateur Hockey Association and is a managing partner for Hockey Educational Systems.
